The event was scratched after conferring with Humboldt County Health Officer Dr. Teresa Frankovich. It is the fourth race of the 2020 season that has been forced to cancelation.

June 20 Races Canceled, 2020 Season Will Begin With July 11 Firecracker 100
Eureka, CA (June 10, 2020) – Redwood Acres Raceway officials are sad to announce the cancelation of the June 20 race due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. June 6 Race At Redwood Acres Raceway Canceled

Eureka, CA (May 27, 2020) – After consulting Humboldt County Health Officer Dr. Teresa Frankovich, Redwood Acres Raceway officials regretfully announce that the race scheduled for June 6 has been canceled. Track officials requested permission to race what would have been the 2020 season opening event but Dr. Frankovich denied the request. Dr. Frankovich indicated that racing at the Acres could begin very soon. Raceway officials have requested that the race scheduled for June 20 be allowed and are hopeful that the season can begin on that date.

May 16 Race At Redwood Acres Raceway Canceled

Eureka, CA (May 1, 2020) – Due to the continuing COVID-19 coronavirus epidemic, Redwood Acres Raceway officials have announced the cancelation of the race that was scheduled for May 16. Sadly, this is the second time the 2020 RAR season opener has been canceled because of the worldwide epidemic. Initially, the season was scheduled to open this Saturday May 2. Raceway officials are continuing to work toward completing as much of the intended 2020 schedule as possible and are hoping that the season will begin on June 6 just as much as race fans, drivers and crew do.

Eureka, CA (April 6, 2020) – Due to the COVID-19 coronavirus and its affect throughout not only Northern California but the entire world, Redwood Acres Raceway officials have announced the cancellation of practice that was originally scheduled to on April 16. In addition, the season opening race scheduled on May 2 has also been cancelled. This will make the race scheduled for May 16 the first of the year.

Eureka, CA (January 26, 2020) – Redwood Acres Raceway held its annual banquet to celebrate the 2019 champions and all the competitors this past Friday evening at the Blue Lake Casino. In addition to the crowning of track champions in each of the raceway’s six local divisions, news was announced regarding whom would be promoting the track in 2020 and hopefully well into the future.

Eureka, CA (October 10, 2019) – Going into the 2019 season, it was uncertain of how things would go in the Compass Community Credit Union roadrunner division. At the beginning of the year, it looked as though the division would be forced to race alongside Redwood Acres Raceway’s mini stock division. Thankfully as the season progressed, the car count rose and the end result was a surprise champion and a highly competitive season for the roadrunners.

Eureka, CA (September 22, 2019) – Another year of racing at Redwood Acres Raceway came to an end Saturday night as the annual Fall Spectacular closed the 2019 season at the 3/8-mile paved oval. Blue Lake Casino and Sequoia Springs Senior Living presented all of the night’s action as champions were crowned in local divisions while the North State Modified Series potentially saw their championship determined in the series’ penultimate race of the season.

September 21, 2019… Coming back from his wins at Douglas County Speedway in Roseburg, Oregon on August 24 and Lakeport Speedway last weekend, Darrin Knight of Kelseyville did it again at Redwood Acres Raceway in Eureka Saturday night during race number 11 of the North State Modified Series, presented by Protect the Harvest. The three-time NSMS champion pocketed another $1000 for his impressive win over points leader Scott Winters of Tracy and Randy Houston of Medford, Oregon.

The Eureka native came into the year with a new confidence after participating in the Lakeport Indoor Outlaw Kart circuit through the winter months. Eureka, CA (July 22, 2019) – It was a rough and rowdy night on the asphalt at Redwood Acres Raceway Saturday evening. There was plenty of exciting racing but several major incidents punctuated the event as well. McMurray And Sons presented the event which featured the North State Modified Series and the Upstate Bomber Series along with Bandoleros, roadrunners, mini stocks and Legends.

Cameron Austin Back To Back Victories With North State Modifieds

Eureka, CA…. July 20, 2019….. Coming back from his victory at All American Speedway two weeks ago, North State Modified Series points leader Cameron Austin of Santa Rosa held off the challenges of veteran Lucas Oil Modified driver Scott Winters of Tracy for 40 laps to win his second NSMS season feature event at Redwood Acres Raceway in Eureka Saturday night. Austin collected $1800 for his efforts which included $500 from McMurray & Sons Roofing, and a $300 cash bonus from North Coast Lighting and Electric. He also earned the $100 Keyser Manufacturing Hard Charger award. The North State Modified Series is presented by Protect the Harvest.

North State Modifieds And Upstate Bombers Return To RAR Saturday

Eureka, CA (July 16, 2019) – After a week off, the 2019 season resumes this Saturday night at Redwood Acres Raceway. Bandoleros, roadrunners, mini stocks and Legends will be in action while the late models will be off. Local bomber drivers will be joining the Upstate Bomber Series for their second and final visit to RAR this season while the North State Modified Series will also be returning for the second time in 2019. McMurray And Sons will present all the action as part of the celebration of the company’s 100-year anniversary.
