The “JM Environmental 127 presented by 51FIFTY LTM” will bring more than 20 of the best Super Late Model competitors in the nation to the All American Speedway to kick off a busy 2019 campaign.

Twin 35-lap races for the NASCAR Late Models are also on tap, along with NASCAR competition for Limited Modifieds, Super Stocks, and F4s. The region’s youngest drivers in Jr. Late Models, Bandoleros, and Mini Cups will also have their opportunity to compete this weekend.

The SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour has not visited the one-third mile asphalt oval since 2012. The preliminary entry list only features one former winner – Carson City, Nev. Bobby Hodges - from the seven prior appearances at the track.

Among the entries are numerous drivers looking to defend their home track All American Speedway powered by Roseville Toyota from the touring series drivers. Roseville’s Eric Schmidt, a former SRL and track champion, leads the list in search of his first Roseville SRL win. Local drivers searching for their first career SRL series win include Granite Bay’s father-and-son duo of John and Cole Moore, Loomis’ Jack Wood, and Elk Grove’s Mike Hite. NASCAR XFINITY Series veteran Dylan Lupton of Elk Grove will be making his first Super Late Model start at the venue as well.

Saturday’s races offer the first night of points paying competition for Late Models at the venue since 2013 as well. Many of the region’s most popular drivers are expected to be in competition. Limited Modifieds and Super Stocks will each stage 30 lap main events while the F4 main event is 20 laps in distance. Mini Cups vs. Bandoleros for the youth drivers of the speedway also race for 20 laps.

“We’re excited to kick off the 2019 season and our first full season with Bill McAnally Racing promotions at All American Speedway,” Promoter Bill McAnally said. “Some of the best short track stock car racers in the country will be here. We have an exciting season planned with races for everyone.”

Cole Moore Wins PCS Finale While Jason Romero Takes The Title

Jason Romero clinched the 2018 Pacific Challenge Series championship at All American Speedway Saturday night (Photo Courtesy Patriot Media)

Via PCS Media

ROSEVILLE, CALIFORNIA (October 14, 2018) – Cole Moore of Granite Bay won his third Pacific Challenge Series presented by Penneylawyers.com race of 2018 on Saturday night, dominating the October Classic 100 at All American Speedway in Roseville, CA. The win was ahead of Jason Romero, who used his fourth runner-up finish along with two victories to close out the 2018 championship.

Romero won the Sunoco Fuels fast time as well but drew the seventh position to start alongside championship rival John Moore on the starting grid. The 100 lap feature was the nightcap for a huge evening of racing that included a 200 lap NASCAR K&N Pro Series, West race and a 60 lap North State Modified Series event before over 3000 fans at the one-third mile oval.

The first caution flew on lap five when Dave Byrd spun in turn four and both Mike Hite and Austin Gant were involved. The restart saw Hite spin into turn one and collect Byrd, who spun hard into Hite’s driver’s side door. Byrd was out of the race but Hite made numerous pit stops and was able to continue on.

Matt Wendt of Galt spun trying to get underneath Adam Lemke for a caution on lap eight. On the restart, Lemke battled with Matt Scott for third while Jack Wood looked outside Moore for the lead. Scott and Lemke touched, with Scott suffering a left front flat tire and stopping the car to draw a caution on lap 11.

Wood ended up getting the lead on lap 12 on the restart, but Moore fought back to lead lap 13. Romero chipped away at the pack to advance to third past Lemke by lap 16.

Romero then challenged Wood for second before they made contact in turn one that sent Wood spinning and relegated Romero to the rear. On the restart, Lemke put up a nice challenge to Moore but Moore won the battle for the lead. Scott returned onto the race track and slowed in front of Lemke as the leaders attempted to lap him. He was black flagged by PCS officials as his car went up in sparks after the contact that ensued with Lemke.

The race went green for 49 consecutive laps which allowed Moore to build up a straightaway advantage over Lemke while Romero and Wood raced hard from the back of the field. The duo closed down on Matt Wendt and contact forced Wendt back behind them both on lap 54. Wendt went up in sparks and came to a stop in turn two for the next caution on lap 72. Romero knifed inside John Moore to take third on the following restart. Wood then made a daring three-wide maneuver a few laps later to get fourth from Moore and Mike Beeler.

Romero worked through lapped traffic and got around Lemke on lap 90 for second place but ran out of time to reel in Cole Moore. Cole Moore darted to a 1.377 second victory while Romero ran second to finisxh 24 points ahead of John Moore in the championship. Lemke’s debut yielded a strong third place followed by Wood and Beeler. John Moore was sixth. Romero’s move from seventh to second also grabbed the Penney Racing Supply Hard Charger award.

Cole Moore, Mike Beeler, and Dave Byrd rounded out the top-five in the final championship points.

Cole Moore Grabs Second PCS Win Of 2018 With Stockton Triumph

Via PCS Media

STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA (July 22, 2018) – 2015 Pacific Challenge Series presented by PenneyLawyers.com Rookie of the Year Cole Moore outlasted a challenging evening at Stockton 99 Speedway for his second PCS win of the year, Saturday night. Moore came out on top over points leader Jason Romero in a thrilling battle in an attrition-shortened 60 lap sprint race.

Romero set the standard of the night early with a 13.366 lap in time trials to take the Sunoco Fuels Fast Time by .147 seconds on the field. Romero only mustered eighth in the American Racer Tire Dash while 2016 series Rookie of the Year Matt Wendt won the dash for the pole and a set of tires.

Wendt led early while third starting John Moore made slight contact with his son Cole to take second on lap two. Moore then passed Wendt for the lead on lap nine as the top nine cars ran closely together. Romero was still mired in eighth, facing a battle with Michael Sandoval.

Cole Moore and Wendt made contact in turn one for a lap ten caution, with Cole using the “tap out” rule to accept blame for the incident. It put Cole Moore to the rear of the field and Wendt back into second place.

The contact proved to cause significant damage to Wendt’s rear end, however, as he faltered coming to green causing an accordion of bumping among the field before he retired to the infield.

John Moore then spun abruptly into turn three on lap 13 while leading, gathering up former track champions Matt Scott and Dave Byrd in the process. Moore’s spin was caused by a blown engine and Scott was eliminated from the race as well. Mike Ray had his second spin of the race on the following restart, reducing the field to six cars running.

The race was then shortened by officials to 60 laps as the top six battled to the finish. Sandoval and Byrd had an incident that caused a quick yellow and bunched things up. Cole Moore took the lead from Romero on lap 20 followed by Madera winner Carlos Vieira, before Vieira faded behind the top-two. Romero showed Moore a nose on lap 43 and tried again as they approached promoter Tony Noceti’s $500 bonus for leading lap 50. Cole Moore led that lap while Romero stayed in lockstep.

They remained in lockstep down to the wire. Romero took a look inside when Cole went up the hill in turn two on the final lap. Moore wisely defended the inside line through turns three and four and motored away for his third career Pacific Challenge Series victory. Romero extended his points lead from second with Vieira, Beeler, and Sandoval the top-five. Romero also won the Penney Racing Supply Hard Charger for his run from eighth to second.

Romero now leads John Moore by 14 points with the series readying for Madera Speedway on August 11th.

Cole Moore Returns To Victory Lane With Ukiah PCS Win

Via PCS Media

UKIAH, CALIFORNIA (May 20, 2018) – Cole Moore led 72 laps and put together a masterful set of final restarts to prevail at Ukiah Speedway on Saturday night, charging to his second career Pacific Challenge Series presented by PenneyLawyers.com victory. Moore conquered the challenging quarter-mile bullring in a race that was a tale of two acts.

Shasta Raceway Park winner Jason Romero won the Sunoco Fuels Fast Time Award for the second consecutive race, but had work to do when the field was fully inverted for the American Racer Tire Dash. Romero finished seventh to start seventh in the feature while Coquille, OR’s David Miller won the Dash for a set of tires and the pole position of the feature with Moore finishing second for the outside front row.

Moore used his outside starting position to challenge Miller from the outside from the drop of the green flag, taking the lead on lap three. Defending series champion Mike Beeler used the outside line to move forward and brought Romero with him, with the duo advancing to second and third respectively by lap 11.

Ukiah’s John Dalerio started tenth and immediately moved to the front, passing a quickly faltering Miller for fifth on lap 16. Romero aimed high and low on Beeler in an entertaining race for second place while Miller anchored a four car line of cars from sixth through ninth positions.

Romero took over second on lap 29 but had a half-lap deficit to make up on Cole Moore by that point. Moore started lapping cars, lapping fellow front row starter Miller on lap 35. Redwood Valley’s Kolby Berry used the leader as a pick to advance up into sixth position but was also put down a lap a few laps later.

Matt Wendt struggled with rear end issues and was tagged by race leader Cole Moore on lap 59, with Wendt limping to a stop in the infield for the first caution of the race. Wendt surrendered to the pits as had Miller by that point. Both did not return.

Romero seized the chance to challenge Moore for the lead after a 59 lap green flag run. After pacing behind Moore for several laps after the restart, Romero gave him a pair of taps into turn three to grab the lead at lap 66. Romero missed his marks into turn one, sailing up the hill and off the edge of the track in turn two. He slid into the dirt to surrender the lead and force a caution flag.

Moore reassumed the lead while Romero tried to mount a comeback from the rear of the pack with just nine laps remaining. John Moore tangled with John Dalerio twice, first on lap 70 and again on lap 73. Both restarts saw Cole Moore pick the inside line against Mike Beeler and both attempts saw Moore drive away in convincing fashion.

The final two lap shootout was a mad scramble, with Berry diving inside the pack down the backstretch to nearly show his nose to race leader Cole Moore. He ended up sliding in front of Beeler for second with one to go. Cole Moore took a five car length victory while Romero crossed over Berry at the line to take a narrow second place finish. Beeler ended up relegated to fourth with John Moore just a few feet behind in fifth as well.

Berry’s drive from ninth to third earned him the Penney Racing Supply Hard Charger Award. The evening began with a tribute to Martin Disomma, the father of PCS official Blake Disomma. $100 was added to the winner’s purse for each division racing at Ukiah on Saturday, making Cole Moore’s win a $1600 victory.

Cole Moore Scores First Career PCS Win In Roseville Thriller

Via PCS Media

ROSEVILLE, CALIFORNIA (June 17, 2017) - Cole Moore led 95 laps en route to his first career Pacific Challenge Series presented by PenneyLawyers.com victory on Saturday night at Roseville's All American Speedway. The hometown win for the Granite Bay driver came after a late race duel with 2014 series champion Mike Beeler of Modesto. Moore's win also makes him the fourth different first-time PCS winner through four races this year.

Roseville's Shannon Mansch, a former PCS winner at the speedway herself, used a strong outside move to win the American Racer Tire dash worth $500 and the pole position for the 100 lap feature. Mansch took advantage of the position by leading the opening five laps of the contest. Cole Moore started outside pole and took a few laps to get going before he overhauled her for the lead.

Sixth starting Beeler started moving forward when contact between three-time track champion Matt Scott and leading rookie Jack Wood on the front stretch bottled up the pack briefly. The first caution of the race flew when Elk Grove's Shane Butler had a right front flat tire.

Beeler used the restart to pounce to the outside of Mansch for second on lap nine. 2015 PCS champion John Moore and Travis Milburn followed suit with Mansch getting hung out to fifth by lap 12. Smoke began trailing Mansch's #61 ride shortly after. When Galt's Matt Wendt stalled his borrowed backup car on the ramp for a lap 12 caution, Mansch retired to the pits in a frustrating end to a promising night.

Scott started to make his moves towards the front as he got around Milburn for fourth on lap 18. Both John Moore and Scott used a lapped car to pick off Beeler for second and third respectively on lap 30.

Moore and Scott quickly clawed towards the younger Cole Moore with the trio entertaining the crowd with a nose-to-tail battle. Scott nabbed second and turned his sights on Cole. On lap 55, the trio boiled over when John Moore tagged Scott in turn three sending him for a spin. Shane Butler came along late into the incident and made contact with Scott. All three cars were able to continue but with serious cosmetic damage.

The fracas gave Cole Moore room to roam as he enjoyed a comfortable advantage. The final 20 laps however were a barn burner when Beeler started to turn up the wick and climbed up onto the rear bumper of Moore. As the pair jockeyed, Scott entered the fray with a three car lead pack over the remaining ten lap sprint to the finish.

Beeler was unable to muster a race winning move and settled for a narrow second place finish as Cole Moore ripped underneath the checkered flag for his first career Pacific Challenge Series win. The top-five were Moore, Beeler, Scott, John Moore, and Randy Hedrick of Reno, NV. JR Courage ran as high as third before finishing sixth to win the Penney Racing Supply Hard Charger driving from 12th on the grid.

The results end up netting a tie at the top of the points standings between Mike Beeler and John Moore as the two former champions head to one of their favorite races with the Firecracker 125/Ron Strmiska Memorial at Stockton 99 Speedway. Round #5 of the Pacific Challenge Series presented by PenneyLawyers.com takes place Saturday night July 1st!

Tracy Bolin Gets First Career PCS Win At Shasta Speedway

Via PCS Media/Blakesley Sports Media

ANDERSON, CALIFORNIA (June 4, 2016) - A wild win in the Wild Wild West for Tracy Bolin on Saturday night, as the Valley Springs, CA native survived a late challenge from Jeremy Doss to win at Shasta Speedway. The 100 lap Pacific Challenge Series feature was presented by PenneyLawyers.com The race had many twists and turns on a hot 100 degree night at the 3/8ths mile speedway in Anderson, CA.

Bolin's win propels him to fourth in the PCS standings while Doss extended his points lead with a hard-earned second place effort. The series has not yet had a repeat winner in five races and has broken the track record in four of five.

Eric Schmidt looked to be in position for his second straight series victory after winning the American Racer Tire dash to start on the pole position on a 19 car field. Schmidt was one of three drivers underneath the track record including Cole Moore and new track recorder holder Jeremy Doss with a 15.449 second lap.

Doss led the opening lap of competition from the outside pole before Schmidt edged forward. Doss tried the over under move into turn three to dive into the bottom. Schmidt was able to drive out to maintain the top spot through laps two and three.

The leaders darted in and out of lapped traffic with Bolin a few car lengths back. Doss closed back in on Schmidt on lap 15 as traffic intensified. Anderson's Derek Copeland started ninth and was up to seventh by quarter race distance.

JR Courage anchored a four car pack from 12th in front of the leaders before spinning on lap 24 for the race's first caution. On the restart Schmidt picked the inside line and lost the lead position briefly to Doss when the caution came out again on lap 26 for Trevor Harrison stalled on the backstretch.

Doss was credited with lap 26 in the lead but Schmidt promptly took it back on the restart as the pair scrambled for the bottom positioning. Schmidt finally started to put distance on Doss by lap 31.

John Moore got shuffled out of the top-five and Copeland started to emerge in the top-five when the halfway break hit on lap 50. Coming out of the break saw Schmidt continue to lead Doss and Bolin. John Moore made bold moves to overhaul both Copeland and Cole Moore from the outside line to get to fourth.

The race's punctuation mark occurred on lap 77 when Schmidt and Doss got tangled on a restart down the backstretch. Schmidt was hooked right hard into the turn three wall head-on and slightly airborne. John Moore suffered front end damage trying to avoid the incident as well.

Schmidt was uninjured but done for the night after the violent crash, handing the lead to Tracy Bolin when Doss was sent to the rear for his involvement.

Oregon's David Miller and Mike Sackett along with Courage had a tremendous battle for the fourth position that included Miller and Courage coming together on lap 78 for a caution. Doss navigated through the battle and then made his way past Cole Moore to take second. The hard battle hit its climax on lap 95 while Doss chased Bolin closely. Despite Sackett and Courage spinning in turn four and debris on the inside of the track, the race stayed green. Bolin slowed dramatically through the dust and was hard hit in the back by Doss but both continued.

Bolin survived by a .412 margin for the thrilling victory with Doss persevering over front end damage to finish second. Moore was third over Miller and Courage the top-five finishers. Courage started the race in 12th position with his fifth place finish good enough for the

The Pacific Challenge Series returns to All American Speedway for its second of four appearances at the one-third mile oval in Roseville, CA on June 25th. PCS will be joined by the North State Modified Series for a double-header of touring excitement.

Eric Schmidt Gets Long Awaited Stockton PCS Win

STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA (May 28, 2016) - Former Stockton 99 Speedway track champion Eric Schmidt won his first Pacific Challenge Series race at the venue, claiming the 100 lap Tri-Holiday Classic #1 on Saturday night. The Roseville, CA driver is also a 2013 PCS champion and made the winning move on lap 96 at the quarter-mile paved oval.

Schmidt's win on the 68 year old historic speedway was a popular one and came in a fast-paced night where the top-eight cars broke the track record. Schmidt led that effort with a 13.291 second lap around the high-banked speedway.

Schmidt had to come from seventh on the grid after finishing in seventh in the American Racer Tire dash earlier in the night. It was Ross Strmiska and Cole Moore leading the 20 car Super Late Model field down to green with a third- and a second-generation Stockton 99 regulars on the front row.

Strmiska led the opening 45 laps of the race with his new black, pink, and gold Dodge Challenger with Moore in tow. By one fifth race distance the pair maintained a strong lead over 2015 SRL Champion Jacob Gomes in third. Gomes took over second position from Moore on lap 42. Gomes then passed Strmiska for the top-spot on lap 46.

Schmidt emerged into the top-five with 30 laps left to go and chipped his way through the top-five while Gomes enjoyed a commanding lead. With ten laps to go Schmidt got around Moore and looked to challenge Gomes. A late race incident involving Strmiska and Wendt set up the battle with Schmidt getting past Gomes on lap 96 to take the victory. The top-five at the stripe were Schmidt, Gomes, points leader Jeremy Doss from eighth starting position, Moore, and 2014 PCS champion Mike Beeler in his typical late race charge.

Doss was the races' hard charger while the Brakeometer prize for the fourth place finisher went to Cole Moore. The Pacific Challenge Series continues a back-to-back stretch of races on Saturday night June 4th when they hit Anderson, CA and Shasta Speedway. This will be the first points paying appearance for the tour since 2013 for the fast 3/8ths mile oval.

Pacific Challenge Series Fires Off Saturday At Madera

From PCS Media/Blakesley Sports Media

SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA (March 15, 2016) - The Pacific Challenge Series presented by PenneyLawyers.com returns to racing this Saturday night at Loanmart Madera Speedway for its 2016 season opener. Super Late Model teams from all over the west will invade the one-third asphalt oval for a 75 lap feature to be televised on MAVTV.

The stop at Madera sets in motion a busy 13 race campaign with 12 points events plus a non-points season finale in Roseville, CA. Drivers will use points earned from their ten best finishes to try to take the championship. Madera's two PCS rounds are the first series races ever to be televised, with both being produced locally by promoter Kenny Shepherd and Short Track Management to air on MAVTV in tape-delay later this year.

Three of the last four series champions saw their PCS title as their first career SLM championships. The series' all-time winningest driver Upperlake's Jeremy Doss claimed the crown in 2012 at just 15 years old before Modesto's Mike Beeler won in 2014 and Granite Bay's John Moore is the defending champion from 2015. All three are set to run the full season this year in one of the most competitive points fields in PCS history.

Doss won the inaugural trip to Madera last August after a barn burning battle with 2015 SRL Southwest Tour champion Jacob Gomes. Gomes is also expected on Saturday night. Beeler led the first 24 laps and won the dash last year before ultimately finishing third in the race. Beeler came up just ten points short of Moore in his bid to become the first repeat series champion.

Moore's son Cole Moore was the 2015 Rookie of the Year without a win but with eight top-tens in his debut asphalt oval season. Cole ranked third in the points standings ahead of Elk Grove's Ron Chunn and Grass Valley's Don Swartz.

Another early title contender for 2016 is Travis Milburn, a St. Mary's College (CA) business graduate originally from Eagle, ID. With extensive touring experience in the NASCAR West Series, Milburn had an average finish of fourth in his seven starts last season including a win at Roseville last June.

Others expected at Madera include sixth in 2015 points Mike Hite, April Roseville winner and 2006 Westcar champion Shannon Mansch, and top 20 in the points drivers Chris Scribner of Loomis, Bobby Hodges of Carson City, NV, Hayward's Danny Malfatti, John Nesmith, and Tracy Bolin.

Kyle Gottula of Modesto won the September Roseville event last year and perhaps has the most Madera experience of anyone expected on Saturday. JR Courage will set sail on a planned inaugural full-time PCS campaign on Saturday night as well.

Saturday's action begins a series that will travel to Roseville's All American Speedway on four occasions, Stockton 99 Speedway and Ukiah Speedway each on three occasions, two trips to Madera, and a single trip to Shasta Speedway in Anderson.

Madera Speedway has served up a busy night of racing with the King of the Wing Western Sprint Cars and local Twisted Tea Modifieds sharing the card for three features in one night of racing.

An extended practice will kick things off Friday afternoon, with gates opening at noon and practice running from 2 p.m. - 8 p.m. There is no car fee just a $50 pit pass fee with concessions being offered for sale as well. On Saturday night, the first practices will begin rotations at 11:30 before qualifying at 2:30, a Dash for Cash at 6 p.m. and the Pacific Challenge Series 75 is the final race of the night at approx. 9:30 p.m.
