The Miclette Family Racing pure stocks will be in action this Sunday

Eureka, CA (June 17, 2019) – For the second straight season, the Humboldt Outlaw Karts will be competing during the Redwood Acres Fair. Dave’s Auto Electric and Crawford Construction Specialties will be presenting the big event which will have a bit more prestige this season as it will be the first year the karts will be racing on the purpose-built 1/10-mile dirt Bullring. The outlaws will be a feature attraction on the final day of this year’s fair and will likely attract fans who have yet to experience the thrills provided by all of the divisions for the Humboldt Outlaw Karts.

Only one point separates the two leaders in the Fortuna Wheel & Brake fart karts. Scott Proctor is the man currently on the hot seat while Ford holds down second plate. Amanda Harpe is in third and only five points behind Proctor. Jeffrey Smith and Landen Green round out the top five.

Leonard Ward’s lead in the Miclette Family Racing pure stocks is gargantuan in comparison as his advantage is 10 markers. Second and third place are Pete Miclette and Jordan Miclette and only four points is the margin. Michael Lawrence is fourth in the running, five points behind third place with Chris Lawrence fifth.

HOK officials have decided to split up the Champagne Attorney Service beginner box stock to better accommodate all the young racers in the division. A pee-wee division will be set up for younger drivers who are learning how to drive their karts so they can be better prepared for more intense in-race competition.

Aaliyah Mitchell leads the box stock standings by 13 points over Adam Myer. Cooper Willor is third and is only a point behind Myer. Raylan Ross is another two points in arrears to Willor in fourth while Danica Kinsey is fifth and won the most recent event on June 1.

Perhaps the most intense and exciting competition thus far in 2019 has occurred in the Williamson Financial Group box stocks. Grant Proctor has won both feature events on the year but has had his hands full with Dylan Combest who’s finished second in both races as well. Only four points are between the two and it is likely they will be among those who will be at the front in this upcoming event. Janice Walters is quietly having almost as strong of a season as Proctor and Combest and she’s only eight points out of the lead in third. Corbin Green is also in the fight. He’s fourth in points, three behind Walters and 11 behind Proctor. Chayce Smith has been a solid contender all season long and his fifth-place effort so far is proof of that.

Dryver Dothage has dominated the Wes Green Landscaping 250cc division so far in 2019 and leads the standings. The only chink in Dothage’s armor came in the heat race from the June 1 event as MKinzy Uselton was able to take the win in that race. Uselton is second, eight points behind Dothage. The female representation in the division is strong as Maleesa Miles is third, four points behind Uselton with Lily Williamson holding fourth. Fifth in the standings features a tie between Landen Green and Derek Kessler.

Tony Miles has a stranglehold on the championship in the Nor Cal Automotive 500cc class. He holds a remarkable 34 points lead over the two drivers tied for second in the standings, Colby Bergquist and Dax Williamson. Cliff Myer is fourth in the standings and will be hoping to rebound from issues that prevented him from competing in the last event.

Gates for the Sunday June 23 race will open at 11:00AM with racing starting at 3:00PM. HOK officials stress that all drivers and teams must enter through the entrance where the stock cars normally enter the fairgrounds and proceed slowly to the track through the horse barn area. It is also emphasized that teams bring everything they require in their tow rig. Dropping off parts or equipment will not be allowed. Handicapped parking is permitted in the pits provided the placard is displayed on the driver’s side of the vehicle at the fairground entrance.
