The #11L modified owned by Bob Strauss, will be at the Redwood Acres Raceway this weekend to offer a ride around the track to local media members. Later it will be driven in the O'Reilly Auto Parts 60 lap feature by Redwood Acres Raceway 2018 Late Model Champion Mic Moulton of Eureka.

The North State Modified Series, presented by Protect the Harvest, moves north to Redwood Acres Raceway this Saturday night, May 11, for race #3 of the “Driving Out Cancer” awareness tour. A Friday afternoon practice will be held on the 3/8 mile paved oval from 4pm until 7pm. Redwood Acres Raceway is located on the Redwood Acres Fairgrounds at 3750 Harris Street in Eureka, CA.

The O'Reilly Auto Parts Nor-Cal 60 lap feature will pay $1000 to win, $700 for second, and $600 for third. The Lucas Oil Dash for Cash contenders run for $100 to win and $50 for second place. In addition, the top 15 drivers in the NSMS points standings will share in the $2500 Lucas Oil Tow Money program.

The first NSMS tour race was held at Madera Speedway with Randy Houston of Medford, Oregon the winner. Houston missed race #2 at Stockton 99 Speedway, but plans to be back in action Saturday night at Eureka. Three-time NSMS driver Darrin Knight of Kelseyville was the big winner at Stockton and will challenge Houston and the other modified competitors at Redwood Acres this weekend. Also planning to join the show is Lucas Oil modified regular Kyle Tellstrom.

In addition to the other North State Modified drivers, Redwood Acres Raceway 2018 Late Model champion, Mic Moulton, will be piloting the #11L Bob Strauss 2-passenger modified in the main event. Moulton will also have the car at practice Friday afternoon to give members of the local press a ride around the track at full speed. Plus the car will be on display at the local O'Reilly Auto Parts store during the week.

The North State Modified Series will join the bombers, road runners, bandoleros, legends cars and mini stocks.
