Dacono, Colo - Only two yellow flags slowed Saturday Night's NAPA Auto Parts 175 at Colorado National Speedway. That didn't slow down Bob Bruncati Racing as Derek Thorn was able to take the victory. In addition, Thorn's teammates Ryan Partridge and Trevor Huddleston finished second and third

"Coloradio National has been good to us," Thorn said. "To have the Sunrise Fords one-two-three tonight, I think that's a first for us, just really pround of Partridge and Huddleston and all the guys at the show wo work really hard for this."

Thorn's Sunrise Ford/Lucas Oil/Eibach Springs Ford finished 2.752 ahead of Partridge. It was the second race in a row that Thorn and Partridge finished 1-2 as Partridge won the previous race at Orange Show Speedway. Huddleston's third notched his best finish in his sixth career start.

Derek Kraus was the pole sitter and held the early lead over Thorn and Cole Rouse. The lead changed hands several times before Partridge slicked his way to the front from his seventh starting position. He would lead the field to the competition caution on lap 88.

During the competition yellow, the field pitted while Devin Dodson stayed out and inherited the lead. Dodson's stay out front didn't last long as Partridge was able to retain the lead.

Lap 136 saw Thorn maneuver and pass Partridge for the lead. the 2013 NASCAR K&N Pro Series West champion was able to maintain the lead the race the rest of the way for his first win in 2018.

Thorn's victory moved him into the lead in the season long points battle. Thorn leads Partridge by two points.

“We are going to enjoy the moment, it’s a long year in the K&N series. You gotta take every race one race at a time because you never know what’s going to happen. Hopefully we’re there at the end of the year for a championship.” Thorn said

Two Bill McAnally cars finished out the top five as Kraus place fourth and Hailie Deegan took fifth. The rest of the top 10 included Cole Rouse, Kody Vanderwal, Mat Levin, Dodson and Vanessa Robinson.

The NAPA Auto Parts 175 at Colorado National Speedway is set to air on NBCSN on June 14th at 6:00 PM ET.

The series will return to action Saturday, June 23rd for the Carneros 200 at Sonoma Raceway in Northern California's wine country.
