It's going to be a very special evening at the All American this Saturday. That's because it's Special Olympics Day At The Races. Young Special Olympic athletes from all over California have been invited to enjoy some awesome racing and to participate in a special on track autograph. The grit and determination of these young athletes are awe inspiring as they work past handicapped conditions to achieve their goals. A tip of the racing hat goes out to the All American Speedway for hosting this special. These young athletes certainly deserve it.

Regarding the aforementioned comment about awesome racing, that will be taken care of by the speedway's Street Stock, Bomber, F 4 and Limited Modified divisions. On Saturday race day the spectator gates will open at 4pm with the first green flag of the evening falling over the racing at 7pm.

General admission tickets for adults, age 16 to 59, are $10. Tickets for seniors, age 60 plus, and kids, age 6 to 15, are $7. Kids under 6 will be admitted free. The speedway also offers a family pack, priced at $35, which admits two adults and two kids.

It's Pit Barrel Cooker Night at the races. Pit Barrel is the official cooker at Kern County RWP because of its unique and patented way to make great bar b que. That, of course translates into big smiles on the faces of hungry race fans.

Providing the on track action Saturday night will be the NASCAR Late Models who will be treating their fans to twin 35 lap main events. Also on the schedule will be the NASCAR Spec Mods, NASCAR Mini Stocks, INEX Legends and the Mini Dwarfs featuring the stars of tomorrow. The spectator gates will open at 5pm with racing set for 7pm.

General admission tickets, age 16 plus, are $10. Tickets for seniors, age 65 plus, military personnel and youth, age 6 to 15, are $7 with kids age 5 and under admitted free. Also available is a budget friendly family pack, for $25, that admits two adults and two kids.

The Las Vegas Bullring will be hosting the annual Chris Trickle Classic this Saturday night. Sadly, this event is in memory of Chris Trickle who died in 1998 after being the victim of a senseless drive by shooting in 1997 that is still an unresolved case.

Providing the on track action Saturday night will be the NASCAR Super Late Models who will be running twin 35 lap main events. The Super Stocks will also be running two races on this night. Also on the Bullring race schedule will be the Bombers and the Grand American Modifieds, along with the USLCI Legends, Bandoleros and Thunder Cars. The spectator gates will open at 5pm with the racing going green at 7pm.

General admission is a fan friendly $8 and can be ordered online or by calling 1 800 644 4444. Bring your appetite and a powerful because the Bullring's concession stand is also very fan friendly featuring $2 hot dogs and Coca Cola products along with $3 Budweiser products.

The always exciting OSS with be treating their fans to a full evening of stock car racing featuring their Modified, Open Late Model, Street Stock, Mini Stock, Bandolero and Legend divisions plus an always fun barber pole race.

On race day morning, there will be a special practice session, open to all racing divisions, from 830am to 1145am at a cost of $50 per day. Later in the day, the track will be open for the standard practice session from 1 to 3pm. Qualifying will start at 315pm followed by heat races at 6pm with trophy dashes and main events going green at 7pm.

General admission tickets are $10. Tickets for seniors and kids are $8. Active duty military, with valid ID, and kids age 6 and under will be admitted free.

Shasta Speedway will be hosting the always exciting Pacific Challenge Series this Saturday night. A recent press release, from series Public Relations Director Steven Blakesley, stated: For the first time since 2013, the Pacific Challenge Series presented by PenneyLawyers.com will hit the 3/8ths mile Shasta Speedway in Anderson, CA on Saturday. A large field of local drivers and touring stars will go head-to-head in one of the premier races on the 2016 Super Late Model series' calendar. The last four previous Pacific Challenge Series champions will all be in action for one of the toughest fields so far this season.

Roseville, CA's Eric Schmidt is arguably the most accomplished driver at Shasta in the last 20 years with multiple fall Open Show wins and PCS wins at the venue. Schmidt swept all four PCS events at Shasta in 2013 en route to the series championship. The driver of the Sierra Speed #05 is fresh off of both the track record and win in last Saturday's Tri-Holiday Classic at Stockton 99 Speedway as well.

Adding to the Shasta Saturday action will be their local Late Model, Legend, Hornet and Bomber divisions. The front gates will open at 5pm followed by racing at 7pm.

General admission tickets, age 13 plus, are a budget friendly $7.50 with pre sale general admission tickets going for $5 when purchased through the Shasta Fair Office. Kids 12 and under will be admitted free.

The Speedway Willow will be turning on the Saturday night lights while presenting another one of their action packed racing shows that has garnered them a lot of attention and positive comments, both from their racing teams and especially their fans. The always challenging quarter mile paved oval is located within the 600 acre plus motorsports complex known as the Willow Springs International Raceway.

On the racing agenda for Saturday night is a scheduled 248 laps of short track action spread out among six different racing divisions plus two special event races The racing will be led by the speedway's Elite Division with some strong support from the Street Stocks, Hobby Stocks, Mini Stocks, Skid Plates and the So Cal Enduro division. The aforementioned special events features an always fun flag pole race as well as an open comp figure 8 race. The first green flag of the evening will fall on all of this action at 6pm.

A ten dollar bill, at the front gate of the Willow Springs complex, will buy you a wrist band that will allow you access to see all of the racing, at all of their tracks, on both Saturday and Sunday. Children age eight and under will be admitted free.

Now here's an honest to goodness hot ticket because the total number of laps, ran Saturday night. will be determined by Tucson's daytime high temperature. Those fun people at Tucson will be presenting Ice Breaker - Race The Temperature: 103 degrees equals 103 laps. The hot track action will be powered by the Super Late Model, Late Model, Hornet and Bomber divisions. The spectator gates will open at 5pm with racing at 7pm.

General admission tickets, age 17 plus, are $12. Tickets for seniors and military personnel are $10. Children's tickets, age 11 to 16, are $5. A family pack, for $25, is available and admits two adults and two kids.

PHOENIX INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY RACE TICKETS

Phoenix International Raceway announced that tickets for the semifinal race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, the Can-Am 500, go on-sale Friday, June 3. Tickets start at just $25 and can be purchased by visiting PhoenixRaceway.com or by calling 866-408-RACE (7223).

The popular fall race at PIR historically sells out in advance and features a full weekend of NASCAR action, including racing from the top-three series in NASCAR. The Can-Am 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race takes place on Sunday, Nov. 13. The event weekend also features the NASCAR XFINITY Series race on Saturday, Nov. 12 following the Lucas Oil 150 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on Friday night, Nov. 11.

Both the NASCAR XFINITY and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will battle in the Chase format for the first time, with PIR being home to all the Series' elimination races.

GOOD TIMES QUARTER MIDGET RACING ASSOCIATION RACE CANCELLED

For those of you who were planning to take in the quarter midget racing in Madera, this event was cancelled yesterday due to inclement weather in the area. A make up date has been set for Sunday, June 12th.
